Once you have built your small business from the ground up, there comes a point when you feel like you’ve mastered your workflow. This is an amazing place to be! You start to focus on creating relationships and building clientele...⁣ ⁣ While this is a common phase to be in (yay for growth!), let’s remember to sharpen our skill. 🙃⁣ ⁣ I’ve been there, most of us have- on plateau of creativity, tempted to just “make money”. 😬 🙅🏼‍♀️⁣ ⁣ It is SO important to not stay in this place! ⁣ ⁣ The industry (every industry) historically proves itself to evolve. We get to decide whether we are going to grow with it, or stay where it feels “safe”.⁣ ⁣ I once heard someone say : “If you don’t take risks, you’ll always work for someone else who does”. 🔥👏🏼 ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Soooo here is my tip for the day, take a risk! I have to admit, I was a little hesitant to shoot this day because it had been dumping BUCKETS of rain all day.😂 ⁣ ⁣ I am all for a little rain but I was nervous for Anna’s hair, makeup and for @sydneyreneephotos and I’s camera gear.🙈⁣

The rain let up just enough to let us shoot their engagement photos!⁣ This is why I love my couples!⁣ ⁣ Fun fact: Anna could not choose between having Sydney or I shoot her wedding so she hired BOTH of us. I don’t think I would have said yes to doing this with anyone else but @sydneyreneephotos 💛 I am so excited to see what kind of beauty is made from wedding day!

He is so good at choosing to love me every day, that I gladly take that over one random, overrated day in February. ⁣ ⁣ What if we all thought about love like this? Whether we have found love in a companion or we are walking it out with friends and family...what if we loved when nobody was looking?⁣ ⁣ Don’t get me wrong, I like any reason to celebrate love, including today! 🤪 However, I am learning that it truly is the little choices we make every day that prove our love to others and theirs to us. 💗 ⁣

Just shot my last wedding of the year and feeling extra grateful. ⁣🎁 ⁣ I was driving back from Boca Grande Monday and found myself in tears for a good portion of my drive home. I was reflecting on the past year and realized that 2020 has taught me one major thing: life can change, QUICKLY. Not sure if I am the only one in this boat or not, but this year has given me a type of mental sobriety that I didn’t realize I needed. ⁣ I am feeling extra grateful (to the point of tears apparently) for my loved ones, my business, my future husband (AH) and the way the Lord has led my life. ⁣ Whether or not this has been your story this year, I think we can all agree that 2020 has taught each of us the value of people over tangible items. ⁣ I can confidently say that I am walking into 2021 with a resolve to be as present as possible with those in front of me. 💛

Gabriela and Devin💫 ⁣ Cue the tears as you scroll and see Devins reaction. 😭💛⁣ ⁣ As I was reflecting on the whirlwind that 2020 has been, I realized that we all need a reminder sometimes that love alone is worth the fight.⁣ ⁣ This year has been a challenging one for so many, and a sweet lesson I have learned again is that putting in the hard work is what creates STRENGTH.⁣ To the newlyweds who are navigatiting a HUGE life change, and to the couples who have remained steady for years and years.⁣ To the mom who lays down her life every day to make sure her children are nurtured and fed, and to the ones who give selflessly with no expectations of ever getting a return…⁣ You are seen.⁣ Great will be your reward. You are teaching those around you that love endures and one day you will look back realizing it was all worth it.⁣ You’ve got this. 💛
